What is Bot-tox

Bot-tox is a protein derived from botulism toxin that is injected underneath skin in order to minimize or smooth out lines and wrinkles on the face. When low doses of Bot-tox are used, it actually paralyzes or relaxes facial muscles, giving the recipient a clean, smooth facial appearance.

Does it hurt?

You may experience very mild discomfort lasting for only a few seconds as each area is treated.

Do Muscle Relaxing Injections have any side-effects?

The vast majority of patients experience no side-effects whatsoever. Occasionally, a small bruise at the injection site may occur which will disappear after a few days and mild headaches lasting a few hours have been reported in a very few instances. In rare cases a reversible condition known as ptosis, heaviness of the eyelids, may occur due to the technique being overly administered. By adopting the philosophy 'you always add more' we avoid this happening, and always offer free tops ups to our clients.

Is Bot-tox Safe?

It is a natural response to assume there is some danger with a product derived from a toxin, but it is in fact very safe, and has been is use for some time.

Provided that Muscle Relaxing Injections are administered by a practitioner with medical training, there are no serious risks. Any side-effects are minor and temporary, as discussed above.

Although research to date has not shown any risk to the developing foetus caused by exposure to Bot-tox, in the interests of good medical practice we advise that injections are best avoided in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

How long do the effects last?

Your results should last about three to four months, although the results may last longer with repeated treatments.

What is Dermal Filler?

Dermal Filler is a scientifically advanced gel made from absorbable medical polymers. Here at Revival we use the first filler of its type, completely free of animal or bacterial by-products or cross-linking chemicals, offering an unprecedented level of purity available in dermal filler.

Will I get smooth results?

Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, which are made of tiny gel particles, our filler is an ultra-smooth gel that offers an elegant feel for smooth, natural-looking results. Hyaluronic acid fillers are made up of varying sizes and amounts of non-uniform particles, resulting in a granular, "sand-like" texture.

How does it work?

Our Nurse shapes your desired contours by injecting dermal filler under lines and wrinkles to smooth your skin and quickly restore a more youthful appearance.

How long does treatment take?

Enhancement with dermal fillers is a completely non-surgical procedure done with minimal time requirement.

Will treatment hurt?

Because our filler is ultra-smooth, it can be easily injected using a very small needle, which reduces potential injection pain. Also, because it is a synthetic product and not hyaluronic acid the PH is closer to that of our bodies’ natural tissue, and therefore will sting far less on injection.

How quickly will I see improvement?

The improvement our dermal filler provides is immediate.

How long will the results last?

Studies show that the results of one dermal filler session will last up to 6 months. We can work with you to develop a touch-up schedule to maintain your desired results

What is a skin peel?

It is the use of acids of varying percentages and PH’s applied to the skin to remove the outer layer of cells. This process stimulates new cell growth and enhances the action of fibroblasts to produce elastic and collagen (the products which improve the elasticity of our skin) The result is an improvement in the quality and tone of the skin, leaving it feeling softer, tighter and smoother.

Does it hurt?

The depth of the peel has an impact on how uncomfortable the procedure is, It is best described as a tingling sensation initially, increasing to what can be fairly uncomfortable prickling as the peel penetrates deeper. The use of a fan reduces the intensity and the peel can be neutralised as soon as the client advises.

How long does the Procedure take?

Initially the skin is cleansed before any of the 3 peels we offer are applied. The Glycolic peel can be left on for a maximum of 5 minute depending on the client’s tolerance and reaction of the skin to the product. The TCA peel is not usually left on for no more than 2 minutes. The ICP peel is left on for 6-8 hours. It can be uncomfortable for the first few minutes, but clients may then go home after the application and simply remove it with water later in the day. No procedure requires the client to remain in the clinic more than 30 minutes, but clients are welcome to sit and stay, have a drink, and read a magazine while the initial redness fades.
